    Presentation Title: Evaluating the Impact of Transmission Line Reconductoring on Pipeline AC Mitigation Performance using Remote Monitoring Techniques

    Abstract: Reconductoring of high-voltage transmission lines can significantly alter electromagnetic coupling conditions with nearby pipelines, affecting induced AC voltages and current densities and, consequently, AC mitigation system performance. Variations in conductor type, phase spacing, and line geometry are evaluated with respect to their influence on pipeline interference levels. This talk discusses the application of remote monitoring techniques to track changes in AC voltage, current density, and mitigation response under evolving transmission line configurations. Continuous monitoring provides time-correlated data that enables comparison with predictive modeling results and supports validation of mitigation design assumptions. The work demonstrates how remote monitoring improves technical understanding of reconductoring impacts and supports proactive management of AC interference in accordance with NACE SP21424.

    Abstract: Adding Corrosion Inhibitors to hydrotesting fluid(s) can greatly speed up the implementation process of bringing a pipe or vessel online. A case study can be shown as to how the formation of iron oxide within the structure is reduced, allowing for faster pigging, and subsequent odorization of the line.

    Presentation Title: Wire Connections: A history on current and new technologies

    Abstract: This presentation covers all forms of wire connection methods used in the Cathodic Protection industry. I provide a brief history of exothermic welding, pin brazing, and cold solder connections. The presentation reviews safety measures, benefits of each method, and disadvantages of each method. This is a great way to ensure users are knowledgeable on how each application is properly applied and which method is best for their application.
